Farrier Science Applicant Questionnaire

Applicants to the Olds College Farrier Science certificate program are required to complete and submit the Applicant Questionnaire. Please present the most recent information if there is insufficient space.

Admission to the Farrier Science certificate program is on a first qualified, first admitted basis - based upon the admission requirements. There is a strong demand for this program; therefore applicants should submit documentation in a timely manner for assessment.

The applicant must demonstrate adequate equine and industry experience. Applicants are required to complete at least 50 hours of industry experience or job shadowing with a Farrier. You must provide the contact information of the Farrier so your industry experience can be verified. Applicants will not be admitted until their 50 hours have been completed and confirmed.

Farrier Industry Work Experience

Applicants are required to demonstrate that they understand a Farrier's daily tasks and the demands of the industry.

The required 50 hours of industry experience may be paid or volunteer.
